I am a graduate student in the Ohio State University honey bee lab. My research focuses on pollinator foraging behavior. I am the primary developer of buzzdetect, an open-source tool for automated passive acoustic monitoring of pollinators (GitHub repo, paper). I post walkthroughs, tips, and methodological and statistical investigations into passive acoustic monitoring on the blog. buzzdetect is under active development and I’m constantly trying to make it more useful for researchers; if you have any feature requests for buzzdetect, please raise them as an issue on the GitHub repo or email me.
Other academic interests are statistics, philosophy of science, and causal inference.
